The specifier's shop

Ask us a question about your windows and you'll get a drawing back. That is the whole personality of this business, and we have decided to own it.

How we workSHEET AB-01

Hardware, not haberdashery

We treat a shutter as engineered window hardware: a set of blades, pivots, stiles and frames that has to work sweetly for years in the exact window it was made for. That sounds obvious until you shop around and find shutters sold like cushions, by the photo, one-size-fits-most.

So we work the way a joiner reads a job. Every opening gets measured on site. Every room gets a material verdict with a reason attached: basswood here, PVC there, aluminium the moment the salt band gets a say. Louvre width is decided with samples held in your actual window, tilt is matched to the era of the house, and the quote that follows is written against that drawing, line by line, so you can see what each window costs and why.

Verdict first, reason second. If we can't give you the reason, we don't give you the verdict.

The range is the other half of the argument. Most local operators sell shutters as one product in a big blinds catalogue. We are fluent across all four types, plantation, aluminium, roller and motorised, indoors and out, which means the recommendation you get is the right type for the window, not the type on special this month.

What we deliberately don't do

No invented urgency, no sign-tonight discounts, no phone calls at dinner. You enquire through the form, we come and measure, you get a written quote, and then it is your decision made at your own pace. If the honest answer at a window is "keep your curtains", you'll hear that too.

The measure, step by stepSHEET AB-02
STEP 01 · at your place

Measure & spec

Every opening measured twice, reveals checked for square, materials and widths talked through room by room with samples in hand.

STEP 02 · in writing

The quote

A written, per-window quote against the agreed spec. Take your time with it; it will still be true next week.

STEP 03 · the fit

Made & installed

Panels made to your windows' own figures, installed plumb and square, tilt checked blade by blade before we call it done.

Free in-home measure & quote

Every window is bespoke. The quote starts at your place, not ours.

A specialist measures each opening, talks through material, louvre width and tilt for your rooms and your exposure, and leaves you a written quote. Nothing is made until the figures are checked on site.
