Terms & disclaimer

Plain-English terms for using this site. The theme running through all of them: the website gives guidance; the measure gives facts.

Guidance, not a quote

Everything on this site, including the guides, the spec tables and the window-schedule tool, is general guidance for Newcastle homes, prepared in good faith. It is not a quotation, a measurement, a certification or professional advice about your specific windows. You will not find a price anywhere on this site, and that is deliberate: shutters are made to measure, and the only figures that count are the ones taken at your free in-home measure and set out in your written quote.

The window schedule tool

The schedule's verdicts are honest starting recommendations for windows like the ones you describe. They are produced by simple rules, not by anyone having seen your home, and they can be wrong about your particular opening. Nothing is manufactured, ordered or priced from the tool alone.

Images

Some images on this site are illustrative, stock or generated, and depict the kinds of homes, windows and work we do rather than specific completed jobs. They are chosen to be true to the products and places described.

External links

Where we link to standards bodies, government product-safety pages or other external references, we do so because they are the proper authority on that point. Their content is theirs, and it may change after we link to it.

Doing business

Quotes are provided in writing after a free in-home measure and are open for acceptance as stated on the quote itself. Nothing on this website limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

This website

We work to keep the site accurate, current and available, and we correct errors when we find them or when you point them out, which we would genuinely appreciate: use the enquiry form. We may update these terms as the site evolves; the date below moves when we do.
